THE LOCAL COMMUNITY
Our little community of Greenwood/Elk is located on the Pacific north coast about 150 miles north of San Francisco, in the southwest corner of Mendocino County. With a population of around 275 people, give or take a few, we are a close-knit, widely cultural, and relatively quite community, most of the year. Visitors come from far and wide to enjoy the quaint beauty, great weather and outstanding hospitality. Greenwood/Elk hosts several events during the year to include:
